Darby It Is...

Hey, it's me, Darby. Did you hear that??? I have a name! It's about time, I gotta tell you how awful it is to be "Hey You," or "Puppy." However, mom still calls me The Muffin a lot, so I'm thinking I'll still be hearing that for a while!

Meet Baby Who???

Umm, well, hold it. I know I introduced the puppy as Elliott/Ellie, but it seems there may be a change in store. It's not so bad, considering I haven't really used the name much yet, and the puppy is completely clueless about who she is. But when there are multiple people involved, things can change, so until further notice, the baby is back to being called "Puppy puppy." sigh.
OK, so I'm late in official introductions, but this is ??????? Well, she'll be known as ????? most days, unless she's in trouble and warrants a three syllable name . She arrived from Florida with the kind help of Allen, who was travelling through on his way to Canada with his Beagle "Xena" and his cat. It seemed meant to be when Allen mentioned to Cheryl that he was driving to Canada, not even knowing that a puppy needed a lift to Kansas City. He was such a good sport and agreed to travel about 1,200 miles with an 11 week old puppy who had never been on a road trip before. Thanks Allen!
So far, ???? is a good puppy, and since the poor thing moved here from Florida and had to endure our 5 inches of snow right off the bat, I'm very glad that she picked up on the dog litter box instantly, without a single accident in her pen. I love smart puppies, but it does worry me to think about yet another smarty pants puppy in the house!

5 Inches of Snow

Yay... another snow storm. The dogs love it, but all I can think about is the inevitable mud when the temps hit 70 next week.
"Look at ME, Uncle Kane. I can run fast too!"
"Is there something on my nose? I can't see it but I know something's there!"
"Wait for me!"
