This morning, leaving the house at dark-thirty, driving through buckets of rain in the dark, I really questioned why I was even bothering driving out to Topeka to show. Well, now I'm glad I did. Darby was able to pull off a Winners Bitch today and finish her championship. There were no class dogs, so no Best of Winners available.
So, pending AKC confirmation, Baby Show Dog is now CH Corval Bless Yer Cot'n Socks.
She's 8 months, 7 days old. Not so bad for a puppy in just 3 weekends (3 weekends with other SVs for competition). Orlando, San Antonio, and Topeka.
Good girl, Darby.

Momma's really happy that we don't have to drive 8+ hours to hunt down the last points! :-) But she showed really well, every day she got a little bit better. However, by the time we went in for Best of Breed, Baby Show Dog was D-O-N-E. Period. Five days of showing and being in hotels and travelling and new dog friends was about enough for a puppy. The last trip in the ring she was trying to grab her leash and play, and she was doing her circus dog impression, etc. And of course, being a Vallhund, when she was bored, her mouth started up. :-)
Congratulations Sarah! Darby is such a pretty girl. Baby girl did wonderfully, and who can blame her for being done with the boring standing stuff.
Whooooo Hoooooo!!! Congratulations Baby Darby and Mom, too! :) Can't wait to watch her grow up now!
